Lucie Klekova Nikita Contest winner
This one is pretty cool. Nikita is once again again holding a contest to find a model for their Streetwear catalog shoot, but this year they are also adding a chance for a lucky lady with a Camera to go along and shoot behind the scenes on the shoot, definitely a huge learning opportunity here. Marco Lutz Videos
by nickhamilton on Sep.02, 2009, under Uncategorized
I got to shoot with Marco Lutz a couple times when he was a Swiss Pro boarder back in the day, he moved on to Snowboard Movie making and made some of my favorite videos to come out of the European scene (King Size, Primevil etc..). They always had really well filmed skits, short story style, so his Directing talent was definitely far beyond Snowboard flicks. Here’s a commercial he made for Zimstern called “Leaves”.

I heard this song on the radio the other night, first time I’ve heard it. Apparently Bowie recorded it in 1973 and it didn’t get put on the album. It was later added as a “Bonus Track” to Diamond Dogs in 1990. Like with many archive photos, it makes you wonder how many other insane ones are out there not being enjoyed

Tips for Photography Assistants
by nickhamilton on Jul.17, 2009, under Uncategorized
The best way to really learn about Professional Photography is assisting, learning first hand on a job is priceless. Kevin Zacher is one of the most successful photographers in the world, and has always been a big advocate of using assistants for all his shoots. I saw this post on Kevin Zacher’s Blog a while back and just wanted to pass the word
